Due diligence on the companies around your regulated business.
Vendors, introducers, outsourcing partners and counterparties: registry, owners, 8 sanctions lists, PEP and adverse media in one report, with a receipt for every source.
Your regulated onboarding has its own process. The companies around it often don't: the software vendor, the agency, the introducer, the outsourcing partner, the counterparty before credit terms. SONAR checks them from public records in about three minutes and records every source, so a clear result can be told apart from one that was never checked. SONAR is not a regulated AML / KYC provider and does not replace the customer due diligence you owe your regulator.

What you can check
Vendor and outsourcing onboarding
Check a supplier before the contract: registered and active, who directs and owns it, and whether the company or any of those people is on a sanctions list.
Introducers and partners
Vet an introducer, affiliate or distribution partner before you share leads, pricing or customer data.
Counterparties before credit terms
Screen a counterparty before you extend payment terms or approve a large invoice.
Re-screening before renewals
A report describes the company on the day it ran. Run it again before a renewal or a large payment and compare.
A record you can file
Every finding carries its source, a link or registry ID and the retrieval time. Every check shows PASS, REVIEW, FLAG or NOT RUN, and a check that couldn't run is never shown as clear.
Regulatory registers
The FCA Register for UK firms, SEC EDGAR for US filers and the UK disqualified directors register, next to the registry record.
Sources in every report
- 13 national business registries, plus GLEIF (LEI) and VIES (VAT)
- 8 sanctions lists: OFAC SDN, EU, UN, UK, Swiss SECO, Australian DFAT, World Bank Debarred, OpenSanctions Consolidated
- The OpenSanctions PEP dataset, for every director and owner found
- ICIJ Offshore Leaks: Panama, Paradise and Pandora Papers, Offshore Leaks, Bahamas Leaks
- FCA Register, SEC EDGAR, UK disqualified directors and 10 years of adverse media
Example
An illustrative run: a UK payments-software vendor before contract signature. The report shows the company active at Companies House, three directors and one person with significant control, no sanctions or PEP match for any of them, no ICIJ match, and one adverse-media article to read. The headline stays at REVIEW until someone has read the article; the receipts go in the vendor file.
